How to Setup Okta SAML 2.0

Okta SAML 2.0 lets you securely plug your app into Okta for one-click, password-free single sign-on by exchanging trusted authentication assertions between Okta and your service.

How to Integrate and Set Up

We will explore how to integrate and set up Okta SAML 2.0 in the following steps:

1. Navigate to the Okta Admin Dashboard

2. Click “Applications”

XML-based open standard for SSO. Use the Identity Provider for your application only supports SAML

5. Set the App name to “RevSure.AI”
   
   

6. Use the images in the assets section to upload the RevSure.AI logo.
   
   

7. Click “Browse files…”

8. Click on the Apply button to set the image.

9. We are done with setting update the general settings. We can continue to set up SAML.

10. Switch to RevSure

11. Click on “Users & Groups"

12. Click “Login”

13. The page below will be loaded. Click on the Edit button to enable the SAML integration flow.

14. Enable SAML SSO RevSure login switch
    

15. Click “View Setup Instructions”

16. Copy RevSure ACS URL and paste it in the Okta - “Single sign-on URL” field

17. Copy RevSure Entity ID and paste it in the Okta - “Audience URI (SP Entity ID)” field

18. Also, enable use of  this for the Recipient URL and the Destination URL

19. Click this button field.

20. Please create the attribute statements below for mapping.
    
    Name: email
    Value: user.email
    
    Name: first_name
    Value: user.firstName
    
    Name: last_name
    Value: user.lastName

21. We are now done with setting up the SAML settings. Click on “Next” to continue.

22. Click on the “Finish” button.

23. Click “View SAML setup instructions”

24. Copy the Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL.

25. Click the “Login Name” field and type “Login with Okta”.

26. Paste the Identity Provider Single Sign-On URL to the “SSO Login URL” field.

27. Copy X.509 Certificate

28. Paste the X.509 Certificate into the “X.509 Certificate” field.

29. Please create the attribute mapping below.
    
    RevSure User Attribute: Email
    Identity Provider Attribute: email
    
    RevSure User Attribute: FirstName
    Identity Provider Attribute: first_name
    
    RevSure User Attribute: LastName
    Identity Provider Attribute: last_name

30. Click on “Save”.

31. “Login with Okta” will be added to the login page.
